William Barrett

Born Greenock 12/09/1890. Mechanic. Next of Kin mother, Alice Barnett, 537 Oliver Ave.N., Minneapolis, Minn.,USA.

While advancing with his company in the attack South East of Sancourt and just after crossing the Douai-Cambrai Railway, Pte Barrett was wounded in the left side by enemy machine gun bullet. He was speedily removed to a dressing station and later to No23 CCS where he succumbed to his wounds
