Born at Uddingston, Lanarkshire. Son of Donald and Elizabeth Blair McCallum. Husband of Charlotte McCallum, 7 Brachelston Street, Greenock. Worked at Rankin & Blackmore

Served in the Soudan and the South African Campaigns. Called up as Reservist in December 1914. Injured at Neuve Chapelle. Shot by sniper

Buried at Vermelles British Cemetery. Grave Reference IV. C. 26.
