John Wilson Leitch

Born Port Glasgow, son of Bailie Leitch. Educated at Greenock Academy and Glasgow University. Served in Gallipoli, Palestine, Egypt and the Western Front. He never visited his home country during this time - served with the 1st Lowland Field Ambulance. Awarded DSO and twice mentioned in Despatches. On return he worked in ENT at Glasgow Royal InfirmaryHe had been surgeon lieutenant with the 3rd Lanarkshire Volunteer Rifle Corps 1908. Died 1935.
