Born Greenock 1887. Fitters Helper Russell & Co. Lived 10 West Breast, Greenock. His wife, Jean Wilson, was convicted of cruety to children, prostitution and drunken mode of life. He left her to live with his mother. No seperation allowance paid. Signed with 4th Batt 1908 Special Reserve A&SH Posted to 2nd Batt sentenced to 1 years prison with Hard Labour for being drunk in trenches 14/2/15 Trans to 1/5th Batt 13/2/15 gsw rt thigh
