Distinguished Conduct Medal
Noted in Evening Telegraph 30th December 1915 as being awarded the DCM. Parents live in Helen St. Aberdeen Evening Express report in 14 October 1916 that he won a VC - he spent 21 months in hospital after being wounded rescuing two comrades under fire. H
