William Thompson Kane

Father of Bill Kane. Born 3rd January 1895 originally from Townhead Street, Ballimoney, County Antrim. Labourer, lived 3 Regent Street, Greenock.

Signed up on 10th Sept 1914. Was wounded in action at Gallipoli sustaining a gun shot wound of the head. 4th June 1915. Wounded again in action with British Expeditionary Force in France, 25/11/16 sustaining a gun shot wound of the right foot leading to the loss later on of the lower limb. 

Went on to work in Kincaids as storeman. Died 9th July 1990
