SON OF ANDREW AND JESSIE GRANT RICHARDSON, OF "SELANGOR," THORNLEY PARK AVENUE, PAISLEY. NATIVE OF GREENOCK. Enrolled at Glasgow University to study Law in 1911. Census of 1901 has him as a 9 year old scholar living at 163 Union St., Greenock. His father, born in Greenock, was listed as a Maker of Steam Engines. Appears to have been born in the Straits Settlement.
His two brothers Sydney and Eric worked in the business of their father - Campbell and Calderwood of Paisley and both served in the war.
Served with the 266th Brigade RFA part of the 53rd (Welsh)Division in the EEF. Killed during the Battle of Gaza in Palestine
