Samuel James Williamson. Samuel was born in Greenock in 1873, and worked as a blacksmith, a job he was still doing until at least December 1909.His family have a photograph of him in the uniform of a Corporal in the Royal Army Medical Corps. The photograph appears to have been taken in 1915. Samuel’s family also know that Samuel was gassed later in the war and discharged. Source 1914-18 Forum
