Was Fireman and a Trimmer. Killed by enemy gunfire. The only person lost on this ship.

Tung Shan SS was a British Cargo Steamer of 3,998 tons built in 1899 by Russell & Co, Port Glasgow, Yard No 441 for Miguel de Larrinaga Steamship Company as the TEODORO DE LARRINAGA SS. She was powered by a triple steam expansion engine 3 cylinder giving 1500ihp and 10 knots. Engines by Rankin & Blackmore, Greenock. In 1914 she was purchased by Sale & Co., London and renamed TUNG SHAN.On the 15th May 1917 she was captured by German submarine U-34 in the Gulf of Valencia when on a voyage from the Tyne to Genoa with a cargo of coal.
