Enlisted 6st January 1915. He had previously volunteered with Bute Mountain Battery. Was living in Canada and came over to join up. Records show application for repatriation money - which was refused. He had been unable to get employment and wished to return to Canada. Claimed his health had been ruined while serving in Mesopotamia.
