Born 1895 in Dumfries. Lived 24 Lynedoch Street, Greenock

Attested 9th October 1914 served at Home. Transfered to 1/8th Battalion 3rd September 1916 British Expeditionary Force.  Was in Dundee Hospital with varicose veins, 22nd March 1916, and trench foot, 27th Janurary 1917.
