24 year old Sugarhouse Labourer, 6 Kilblain St., Greenock. Born Greenock. Enlisted Greenock. His wife, Agnes had died by 1921. Brothers Dan & Neil. Sister Alice.

Attested 20/6/17. Transferred to British Expeditionary Force 11/10/17. Gassed in April 1918.  He was wounded during an advance His Non-commissioned officer saw him but was unable to say what happened to him - in response to a letter from his wife.
