SON OF MARTIN AND CATHERINE OWENS, OF 34, CRAWFORD ST., GLEBE, GREENOCK. His brother James was injured at Gallipoli with the 5th Argylls. His other brother Henry worked in the shipyards. He had sisters Margaret, born 1896 and Helen, 1898-1984
