Born Greenock. Land Surveyor. Had previously been with Tasmania Volunteers. Enlisted Kensington New South Wales.  Next of Kin I Bruce (mother). SON OF JOHN ANDERSON BRUCE AND ISABELLA BRUCE. 

Had previosuly been with Tasmania Volunteers. Wounded in action 21/5/1915. Killed in action and buried 500 yds south of Anzac Cove. Reburied LONE PINE Cemetery, ANZAC. Grave Reference II. B. 11.
