Son of the late John and Janet Brabender. Born Greenock 1880. Hammerman with Cairds. Lived at 3 Bank St. 4 brothers, two sisters. Medals went to a Mrs AH Steele, 3 Armadale Place

Originally signed up 9/11/1899. 3rd A & SH.Special reservist after serving in Regulars. Received Kings and Queens Medals for South Africa.
