Fireman, Born in Christchurch, Crewe. Lived 17 LAURISTON STREET, GREENOCK.

Attested 1900 with Royal Lancaster Regiment with his brother under the name William Long. Then transferred to Scots Greys 1902. Died of pneumonia. Fought in South African Campaign. Home on leave when taken ill. 

Buried at Greenock Cemetery. Grave Reference LLL.523.
