John Anderson Laing

Resided Port Glasgow. 18 year old Rivet Boy, 7 Ardgowan Street, Port Glasgow. Brother of Robert Laing.

Enlisted Stirling. Posted missing presumed killed

Attested 2nd October 1914 with Highland Howitzers where he was a Driver. Discharged 25th June 1915 with fractured humerus when crushed by lorry at Greenock depot - nerve damage as result. He apparently then signed up with 10th Scottish Rifles on 1st September 1916.
