Lived at 4 Station Road, Port Glasgow. Son of James Coulter.

Worked as a riveter at Glen Yard of Wm Hamilton. 

Brother of Samuel, Tommy and William Coulter

Date of entry into war 23rd May 1907.  Fought at Antwerp. Recieved a shrapnel wound to arm (fracture) at the Dardanelles 26th April 1915 and 9th June 1915. Discharged from Navy 18th Septmeber 1916.
