Born Greenock, lived Greenock.  Labourer aged 31 in 1909. Died as the result of an accident not sustained in the performance of military duty. His widow therefore was not eligible for a pension. Lived 3 Harvey Lane. His wife had however died already. 2 children Georgina and Willaim

 Enlisted Irvine. Attested with 4th Battalion 1908 as Special Reservist after 10 years service with 4th Battalion. Reported that he must have fallen out of his Kayham Barracks window - found dead in morning.
