19 year old Caulker at Scotts, 22 Pottery St., Greenock. Thrid son of Mr & Mrs David Canning. His brother John was a former player with Morton and Port Glasgow Athletic.

Attested 1/12/14. With British Expeditionary Force 13/4/15. Died of wounds at General Hospital Boulogne.
