This man is down as belonging to 3/5th Argylls and having died at Ripon. This was where the Argylls Camp was so presumably a death due to illness. No mention however of this man in the local newspapers. He is in our database on account of his connection with the 5th Argylls. He was born in Dumbarton and enlisted in Greenock
