Peter Mallon was in the same Brigade - "The first of the Greenock men I met in the Battery was called Brennan and his mother was to be found by the Empire in Manse Lane near the west side of Clyde Square . I conveyed my experience of meeting her son on the camp site of Dirty Bucket near the Dickebush X Rd and Vlamertinge. I gave Mrs Brennan all the details of her son’s death and burial"
