Born Greenock, resided Gourock, enlisted Stirling. His effects went to his aunt, a Mary Hood, Meadow Bank, Gourock. He had a brother, Donald in the 14th RFA #93557

Called up November 1916. Died as a result of perforated ulcer - at Norwich Military Hospital.
