Brother of John and D Kerr. Rivet Boy, apprentice at Cairds & Co. Four brothers in total were under colours, three with the 1/5th Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Father moved to Glasgow after the war.

Lived 22 Market Street. 

Wound in left arm on July 12th 1915. Sent to Cairo Hospital. Invalided out 20/02/17
