Remembering those who fought in the Great War.

George Bustard

Born in Sion Mills, County Tyrone. Worked in Walkers Sugar Refinery

This ties in with the SG being at the Battle of Morval, 25/9/1916. On the night of the 24th Sept, 2nd Btn SG passed eastwards between Trones Wood and Delville Wood to a jumping off point somewhere near The Fork in Serpentine Trench. They remained there until 12:35 next day when the advance commenced. The final point by evening time was a sunken road just NW of LesBoeufs. He would have been lost somewhere between those two points.
