Cape Finisterre was a 4,380grt, defensively armed Britsih Merchant Ship. On the 2nd November 1917 when 1 mile SSE from Manacles Buoy, Cornwall she was torpedoed without warning and sunk by submarine. 35 lives lost including Master.
