Hildawell SS was a 2,494grt British Merchant ship built in1892. On the 20th December 1916 she was lost in the North Sea off Sunderland after hitting a mine laid by German submarine UC-32 when a voyage from Bilboa to Middlesbrough carrying a cargo of iron ore. 22 lives lost including Master.
