Commissioned 18/9/1917 from the 40th Training Reserve battalion.

Aberdeen Journal 13 November 1917 states Duncan Robertson 18 a native of Greenock who was fatally injured whilst attempting his first individual flight on Sunday in the neighbourhood of a north Midland camp.

He was flying a 'Shorthorn'
