Worked as a Carter. Lived 48 MacKenzie Street. He was married to a Jane Gardner and had three daughters, Mary, Agnes and Ann.

Attested 10th December 1915. He was in the 3rd Siege Artillery Reserve. He was affected by Malaria while serving in Soudan with the 65th Coy and was sent to Malta in December 1918.
Donald died aged 41 in 1926 of pneumonia and heart failure - it is difficult not to put this down to the consequences of his War Service and effect of malaria.
