Archibald Beattie

Worked as an Engine-Fitter. Son of James and Mary Beattie, 18 Caddlehill Street, Greenock. Had one brother and two sisters. 

Attested 16th October 1915.  Posted British Expeditionary Force 8th Febraury 1916 attached to 1/2 Lancaster Heavy Battalion. RGA then to several ASC parks. Died at 16th CCS of Bronchial Pneumonia caught on Active Service.

Buried at Duisans British Cemetery. Grave Reference V.E.18.
