Signed up 23rd July 1915 aged 28. Gallipoli 7/11/15. Wounded in action 26/12/15 GSW to arm. Admitted Ricasoli Hospital. Returned to England 20/4/16. Posted to 1/8th Batt and Alexandria 12/7/17 where he was hospitalised with diarrhoea 8/8/17 and then Command Depot. Suffered from Trench Foot 19/12/16 - 10/2/17 and had a shrapnel injury to his arm 27/4/16-13/5/16.
