Born Gourock 24/11/1879. Sailor married. Mrs. Jane Donald (wife), 224 Thompson Street, Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

Killed by enemy shell in trenches near Locre. 12 years prior service with Royal Naval Reserve. 68th Regt EGOR (active militia, Prince Rupert). Worked on the SS Prince George on the British Columbia coast, the first to be killed in action of the 24 shipmates who signed up. Also known as Alexander Davis. His wife Jane is the sister of Captain Donald of the SS Prince George.
